MILTON BURN BEDROOM
The oldest and smallest bedroom is enchanting, full of character, cosy and comfortable. Built under the eaves, it has several unusual features. From the super king-sized bed there a is lovely view over the charming window seat North West to the Milton Burn and River Spey. The bed sits up against a wood-panelled wraparound headboard with glazed windows one end. Opposite the bed, a wood-burning stove promises the romance of wintery nights – that’s luxury.
There’s a dream of an adjoining bathroom, which benefits from underfloor heating. Light streams in through two windows and shines on the room’s centrepiece: a fabulous freestanding bath. Basin, loo and chic wicker chair are also on hand, but the room is really completed by the candles in the fireplace’s metal grate – the ideal low-light partners for a long soak in that bath.
